Senior Geologic Advisor

Work History:

Senior Geologic Advisor - Chesapeake Energy
Senior Geologic Advisor – Sonatrach (Algeria)

Skill Set:

3D geocellular modeling
Geochemistry
Geostatistics
Developed many novel approaches to the exploitation of unconventional reservoirs
Focuses on biogeochemistry related to the remediation of contaminated groundwater by natural attenuation and engineered processes
Invented the novel technique known as Aqueous and Mineral Intrinsic Bioremediation Assessment (AMIBA) where evaluating minerals created by soil bacteria could be used to assess the natural biological attenuation of hydrocarbon fuel contaminants.
Invented and patented an approach known as Biogeochemical Reductive Dechlorination (BiRD). For this technique, common soil bacteria are stimulated to generate mineral iron monosulfide (FeS) that can subsequently completely detoxify many of the worst water contaminants including chlorinated solvents and heavy metals.
